The Fashionable Maven
“On October 3rd he asked me what day it was, ‘It’s October 3rd.'” I love Mean Girls! It is one of my favorite movies of all time. Honestly, I must really love Rachel McAdams, because The Notebook is probably my most favorite movie.
I love all of the comedy and all the funny lines.
So why am I talking to you about Mean Girls? Well, one thing has always stood out to me about Regina George. Is that in some way she was an influencer and leader, not very good one but nonetheless.
Everyone wanted to copy her and wear what she was wearing, everyone wanted to be her. Do you remember the scene when Janis cuts out Regina’s tank top to expose her bra underneath? Then Regina puts it on sees the holes, shrugs, and walks confidently off?
Through the years I have come to learn this one thing about fashion.
It doesn’t matter what you wear as long as you wear it with confidence. When you own your style and you wear it confidently, it really doesn’t matter what you wear or how you wear it. Similar to Regina George. Obviously, wearing cut out tank tops has yet to become a trend, I do believe that if a celebrity such as Selena Gomez or Kim Kardashian were to wear this trend and own it, that trend would be come a thing.
When I was in college I would wear some questionable things but I would wear them confidently, then later see other with a similar style to what I had worn.
The purpose of this blog is to help you find your style.
