The get out pass is a city pass with access to local venues for pass holders. Pass holders pay the price and are able to attend the local entertainment venues and activities without having to pay for admissions for each of these places. The GetOutPass is available in 15 markets right now with more to come.

How does it work?
First, go to the Get out pass website and click on your location; in this case click on Houston. Once you are on the Houston GetoutPass page it will show you a glimpse of local vendors that have a partnership with them. You will see which places you can have admission access to once you purchase your pass. There are several pricing options to help fit you budget needs.
GetOutPass pricing
The get out pass is valid for 1 year from the date of purchase. You have 365 days to use the admissions in the pass before they expire. The pricing $119.95 per person BUT don’t let that price scare you! They have countless sales often and also I have a discount code that is better than any sale that is currently going on. There has been summer sales, Father’s day sales, memorial day sales. Each time my discount code JENNIMETZ is slighly lower than the sale price!
There are also different way to pay. You can pay the yearly fee all at once, monthly, quarterly, and buy gift vouchers as well. This is great because you can pay in a way that fits your budget.

What is included in the Get out Pass for Houston?
As mentioned above, the get out pass is in 18 markets, Houston being the newest one. There is so much to do and new vendors and local entertainment centers are being added with time. As of right now, Kemah boardwalk, Pleasure pier, Texas typhoon, Aquarium Downtown, and so much more is included in the Houston Get out pass! Here is a glimpse at a few of the venues included below.
How does the GetoutPass work?
Once you purchase your pass(es) all you need to do is download the free GetOutPass app. Enter in your login information and sign in. Once you are signed in you will see all of the local entertainment venues that are included in your Houston GetOutPass.

If you are ready to use your pass(es) at a particular location, head to that location, once there head to the admissions ticket line. Tell them you would like to use your get out pass and show them the app. Click on redeem and select the family members that will be using their passes at that location. Click redeem. A bar code will populate. Show this to the ticket sale person & they will scan it. Once you click redeem it will be marked as used.
If you have ever used groupon, it is similar to that.
Usage and frequency
For many of the venues that have partnered with get out pass have a one time visit restriction but there are other venues that have quarterly and monthly visits as well. It all depends on the local venue. Some of the venues have date restrictions on them, there are days that they can be used on. All of this information will be listed in the app. Many of the big venues have no date restrictions.
Review and thoughts on the Get Out Pass Houston
My family members each have passes, we have loved it! We are planning on spreading out our visits to each location throughout the year. We recently took my son to the Aquarium Downtown to celebrate his birthday. With the pass we had access to everything that was included in the all day adventure pass. This included all of the rides, the stingray touch exhibit (excluding food to feed them, but you could touch them), and the aquarium exhibit! We had so much fun!!
We had a blast the Saturday night we visited the venue. Our most favorite was the shark voyage train ride. It is a train ride that takes you around the venue and then through a tunnel of a shark aquarium. The boys also really loved the rides and stingrays as well.
The price for these all individually would have been costly, even purchasing the all day passes for my whole family not to mention all of the other passes that are included with the pass. In my opinion it is very worth it, especially when they go on sale. My discount code is generally 30% off but when there is a sale it is lower that that percentage.
We also used it to go to Typhoon Texas water park and we had a blast! It is so easy to use with the app and we haven’t had any problems using ours. I 100% recommend it.
