We have officially kicked off summer vacation this past week. The kids are so excited to be done with school for the summer and I am excited to sleep in (night owl probs). To start off our summer vacation, We decided to visit the small town Round Top, TX. This is cute, quaint town that is located in Fayette county. We were able to have a hosted stay at The Frenchie in Round Top, TX. Here are all the details on what to expect on your next visit to The Frenchie and Round Top, TX.

Round Top Texas Hotel: The Frenchie location
If you haven’t already figured this out, let me fill you in. The Frenchie is a boutique hotel located in Round Top, Tx. Round Top is about a 2 hour drive from Houston depending on what area you are coming from. Basically, Its the hour to drive through Houston, plus an extra hour. Ha!
How many rooms are there?
There are 13 rooms total at The Frenchie. Upon arrival, you will find the main house, the cottage, the bungalows, and the art studio.
The Main House
The main house has 6 rooms, a full sided kitchen, several bathrooms, dining room, breakfast nook, and living room. Inside of the main house several rooms have their own bathrooms in them and others the bathroom is just out in the hall. The kitchen is amazingly functional and beautiful. It has a gas oven, an electric oven, a huge refrigerator, sink, table, and is fully stocked with everything you may need to cook a meal.
The art studio and bungalows
You can find the rest of the rooms are within walking distance of the main house. The art studio has 3 additional rooms. Next to the art studio you will find the bungalows. The bungalows are so pretty! They have 1 bed and a shower and bathtub. A mini fridge, and coffee maker, as well as a few wine glasses & a ice bucket for chilled wine or drinks. The Bungalows face the pool and have a full wall of windows which can be covered by a curtain.

Our family was able to stay at the cottage. The cottage is a 2 story house that comes with a king sized bed downstairs and 2 twin beds up stairs. It also has a full kitchen, with a full sized refrigerator, electric oven, the dishes and utensils that are needed to cook and eat. The cottage is the only other room that has a kitchen to cook food. A private fire pit and picnic table are provided for the cottage to use as well.
Inside you will also find a washer and a dryer too! This came in helpful for the times after the pool.

Instagram worthy Hotel Rooms
All of the rooms at The Frenchie are incredibly dreamy! They look like they are straight out of a magazine. Each area was designed with luxury in mind. There are so many Instagram worthy picturesque areas throughout the property. The Frenchie really thought of it all.

Kitchen in the main house
What to do at The Frenchie and Round Top
The Frenchie is located just to the left of Henkel Square. Here you will find small shops, restaurants, dessert places, and more. I was told by a local that the pies in Henkel square are some of the best. We grabbed a couple of burgers and a salad at Royers cafe. They both were delicious! My husband ordered a 1/2 pound burger with bacon and cheese. I ordered a grilled shrimp salad that came with a tangy mustard vinaigrette.

The pool and hot tub
We spent our evenings at the pool and hot tub. The boys loved it! The pool is newly added this year and we think it is a great addition! I especially loved taking a dip in the hot tub in the evenings. The pool is very neat as well. It is a square shaped pool that has a shallow area all around and then in the middle it is a circle that gets deeper. The Frenchie only recently added the pool area. In the future, they will be expanding and adding a pool house as well.
All the more reason to keep coming back to visit.
Partnership with local vendors
The Frenchie partners with a local massage therapist for on sight massages. These need to be booked in advance so if this is something you would like to add on be sure to request it before your departure to the hotel.
You may also want to know that the hotel also partners with Get aRound Top for snacks and charcuterie boards delivered to you.
Other information to know
Inside of the main house there is a pink Smeg fridge stocked with cold beverages for an additional fee. There are also snacks provide for a small fee as well. In the main house most rooms have their own bathrooms and but some are just outside of the room. The common areas in the main house are for all the guest at The Frenchie to use.

The Frenchie is a quintessential boutique located in Round Top, TX. It has 13 rooms that can be rented individually. We absolutely loved our stay at this boutique hotel and cannot wait to visit again. This small town’s charm is written all over this hotel and it is such a great hidden find. Once you visit you will leave booking your next trip back. We sure are!
The boys loved staying in the cottage and swimming at the pool. I loved being able to relax in the hot tub and all of the decor. We also love that it’s only 2 hours away!
